TEL ridership nearly triples after opening of 11 new stations

Since the opening of 11 new stations along the 43km east coast line in northern Singapore, TEL ridership has nearly tripled.

Before the extension of the line, it served only around 200,000 commuters each month. However, within just four months of opening 11 new stations along this eastern coast line, ridership has grown to over one million monthly riders. This is an incredible threefold increase in such a short amount of time!

The new stations have brought even more convenience to those living near them and have made it much easier for people to commute from their homes in northern Singapore to various points on the city centre coast line and other lines further east.
