Founded in the 1960s, The Group started its operations as a subcontractor for building construction for both traditional and land-based properties, and was appointed the lead contractor on its first project by the Housing and Development Board in 1982. Over the years, it has grown from strength to strength, and has diversified to build private residential projects, as well as pursuing the technology of precast.
Leveraging on its experience and know-how, the group expanded the real estate value chain in the 1990s, undertaking real estate development and investments. Its portfolio of real estate development and investments covers shopping malls, residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use developments.
To further diversify its businesses, the group made its entry into hospitality in 2015, and education in 2018. In 2019, the Group started its business in the Civil Infrastructure with an acquisition of a well-established provider of Design-Build Construction Services, augmenting its building trades. In December 2020, the Group further strengthened its infrastructure and civil engineering capabilities with acquisition of a fully integrated contractor for design, procurement, construction, and maintenance, with capabilities including design, engineering, delivery, and commissioning of water and wastewater treatment technologies and solutions.
The Group now has commercial operations in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, Bangladesh, the Maldives, Saudi Arabia, and Africa. The Group has consistently pursued excellence in all aspects, winning various awards for workplace safety and health, building quality, environment and hospitality, productivity and innovation, as well as corporate transparency.
